Three approaches to the one Brahman

Vedanta is not a single position. Advaita (Shankara) reads Brahman and soul as non-different; Vishishtadvaita (Ramanuja) reads them as qualified non-duality, soul as the body of God; Dvaita (Madhvacharya) reads them as eternally distinct. All three commentaries are on the same Brahma Sutras — the disagreement is about how to read the text, not about which text matters.
